What happens with my data?
Your data will be stored on servers of the Philosophical Faculty at the Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel (Germany). The data will be used only for the purpose of analysis according to the Ph.D. project.
How is it ensured that my data is not evaluated on a personal basis?
Your data will be evaluated only by persons directly envolved in the study (Marisa Stahl-Kügler, Maren Urner, Ulrich Hoinkes). It will be evaluated only according to the questions made to the research. This is also ensured by the confirmed GDPR agreement (DSGVO). During the interviews you won't be asked any question according to your age, gender, profession or place of residence.
How long will my data be stored?
Your data, the live recordings of the interviews, will be stored on servers of the CAU until the end of the examination period of the doctorate. This is due to means of verification of the interpretation of the results. The data will be deleted afterwards. The data will approximately be stored until the end of 2024.
How are the data presented in the published PhD?
Only the transcription of the live recording during the interviews will be part of the published PhD thesis. This garanties an even more anonymized presentation of the data.
Can I do something wrong?
No. Breath deeeply bevore the interview begins. It is going to be about anxieties, but you don't have to be anxious.
Can participating to the study have a negative effect on my learning experience?
Not at all. Instead it gives you the opportunity to talk to someone, who will not jugde your grammar or pronunciation.
