Mein Ziel ist es herauszufinden, ob durch den Wechsel in eine Fremdsprache eine Disidentifikation mit Ängsten möglich ist. Oder anders gefragt: Ist es weniger belastend, wenn man sich seinen Ängsten oder einem Angst auslösenden Thema in einer Fremdsprache nähert?
In diesen turbulenten und herausfordernden Zeiten möchte ich einen Weg finden, wie Menschen wieder besser zurecht kommen können und möglicher Weise eine Strategie aufzeigen, die Selbstwirksamkeit eröffnet.
Dies versuche ich, als Linguistin, durch und mit Sprache.
Und führe hierfür Interviews durch. Ein Mal in der Muttersprache der Teilnehmer und ein Mal in einer Fremdsprache, die sie gerade lernen. In den Interviews geht es um Themen, die Angst auslösen und um die Emotion selbst.
Il mio obiettivo è scoprire se la disidentificazione dalle ansie è possibile passando a una lingua straniera. O per dirla in un altro modo: È meno stressante affrontare le proprie ansie o un argomento che provoca ansia in una lingua straniera?
In questi tempi turbolenti e difficili, vorrei trovare un modo per le persone di affrontare di nuovo meglio le sfide della vita e possibilmente mostrare una strategia che apra l'autoefficacia.
Questo è ciò che cerco di fare, come linguista, attraverso e con la lingua.
E condurre interviste a questo scopo. Una volta nella lingua madre dei partecipanti e una volta in una lingua straniera che stanno imparando. Le interviste riguardano argomenti che scatenano l'ansia e l'emozione stessa.
My goal is to find out whether disidentification with anxieties is possible by switching to a foreign language. Or to put it another way: Is it less stressful to approach one's anxieties or an anxiety-provoking topic in a foreign language?
In these turbulent and challenging times, I would like to find a way for people to cope better again and possibly show a strategy that opens up self-efficacy.
This is what I try to do, as a linguist, through and with language.
And conduct interviews for this purpose. Once in the participants' native language and one interview in a foreign language they are learning. The interviews are about topics that trigger anxiety and about the emotion itself.
